2011 Car Deals: Better than Ever

The Cash for Clunkers program may have been short lived but its effects are still continuing to show. Automobile dealerships all around the country have felt increases in car purchases.

The program encouraged car owners to trade in their gas guzzling car models and for more fuel efficient vehicles and also qualified car owners for up to a $4,500 rebate. Cash for Clunkers began a wave of car buying that built momentum into 2010.

Many dealerships have experienced an approximate 15 percent sales gain in 2010 compared to previous years. As the country continued through 2010 the car sales continued to rise. Many dealership owners cited the Cash for Clunkers program to the continual success of the rising car sales.

Dealerships are expecting sale levels to continue to rise and have prepared by increasing inventory. Also, dealerships such as General Motors and others have offered many incentives to continue the sales levels from the Cash for Clunkers program.

This is exciting news for prospective car buyers. Dealerships want to see the sales continue to increase in 2011. Meaning, the dealerships will continue to have unprecedented deals and potential car buyers should take advantage of the sale prices.
